Coast 99.3 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Coast 99.3 radio app. The app lets you listen to our live broadcast, view song information, use station widgets, and optionally receive station alerts. Information handled by the app
No listener accounts. You do not need to register or provide a name, email address, or password to listen. This version does not offer listener accounts, rewards, music testing, or contests.
Streaming and song information. When you play the station or request song information, your device connects to our streaming and metadata services. These services receive your IP address and technical request information needed to deliver the service. When the app looks up album artwork, it sends the song title and artist to Apple’s iTunes Search service; Apple also receives the network information associated with that request. These requests are not sent as a listener account profile.
Optional station alerts. If you enable alerts, the app asks for notification permission. We receive an Apple push notification device token, your selected alert topics (station news, shows, and songs), the push delivery environment, and the time your registration was updated. The token identifies an app installation for notification delivery; it is not your name or email address. We use this information to send the alerts you select and maintain delivery. Listening does not require notification permission.
Local preferences. The app stores notification settings and its push token on your device so your preferences persist between launches. Widgets display station branding and open the app; they do not require an account.
Support messages. Contact Support opens your email application. If you send a message, we receive your email address and the information you include. Please include only information needed for your request.
How we use information
We use information to deliver the radio stream and song artwork, send optional alerts, honor your settings, answer support requests, and maintain service reliability and security. The app does not request your microphone, contacts, photos, or precise location. It does not implement advertising-identifier tracking or an advertising analytics SDK. Broadcast audio may contain advertisements, which are part of the station’s programming.
Service providers and disclosures
Our hosting and streaming providers process network requests to operate the service. Apple processes artwork requests and delivers push notifications through Apple Push Notification service. Our email provider processes support correspondence. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app targeted advertising. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the service or the rights and safety of others.
Retention and deletion
Push registrations remain in our notification database while subscribed; the current service has no scheduled inactivity expiration. Turning off all alerts in the app sends a request to remove your registration. Removal requires a successful network connection; the app reports synchronization failures and retries. We also remove tokens when Apple reports they are no longer valid.
Turning off notifications in iOS Settings stops notifications but does not itself send our server a deletion request. Uninstalling the app removes its ordinary local data but does not immediately remove a server registration. Use the app’s alert controls before uninstalling when possible.
Support correspondence is retained for the period needed to handle your request. Hosting and streaming logs are retained for limited operational periods, and backup copies expire under our backup retention policy. We retain information longer only where needed to comply with law or resolve an outstanding matter.
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email sachal@my25lawyer.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Because push tokens are not linked to a listener account or email address, an email address alone may not identify a push registration. In-app opt-out is the direct way to remove that registration. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, or deletion under your local privacy law.
Security
We use HTTPS for app service requests and restrict access to station notification administration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The app is intended for a general radio audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Live programming may contain content unsuitable for some ages.
External services and policy changes
Links opened outside the app are governed by those services’ privacy policies. We will publish policy changes here and update the effective date. If a change requires additional permission, we will obtain it before using information for that purpose.
